SOG Sketch challenge

It's October and time for a new sketch challenge over at Some Odd Girl blog! I have made a different type of card this time, clean & simple...

I colored the image with Distress Ink Markers and then I didn't like how it turned out so I sprayed it with white color mist. It turn out kinda cool don't you think?! :)

Background tutorial

Hi, today I want to share my way to do backgrounds to my stamped images. I hope you understand what I write or at least get the trick by looking at these pictures. :) I colored up the cute Mushroom Fairy with Copics.

Then I choose a die to cut out the image. 

And then I tape the die to the paper so it stays in place when I roll it in my die cutting machine.

When it's cut I tape the backside to, because I want to make sure it's still when I use the die as a mask.

Then I use a distress ink tool and a distress ink pad and coloring the edges.

I like a bit brown also on the edges.

Then I use different background stamps, this one is like a splatter shape.

I stamped this with a brown shade around the edges.

Another background stamp.

Also around the edges but in a different color.

I also wanted a text beside the image. 

I have a great tip, stamp the text you want to use on a plastic bag and then you can see where the text fits.

When I feel that I'm done I take the die away and get a nice white frame around the image.

I flipped my image and print it on a mini paper bag in brown ink. I really like digital stamps and how to vary them. I colored the image with copics.

I have used on of the cute puppies and I couldn't resist to put a big mustache on him ;)

I have colored the image with distress Ink refills and then used it on a small gift box. The text stamp come from the Hey Kaylee stamp set and because it's a clear stamp you can bend it to a nice shape before you stamp it.
